Crowne Plaza Shijiazhuang Railway Station under pre-opening is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. William Wang, effective August 3, 2026. As Director of F&B, he will lead the full-cycle pre-opening development of all F&B outlets from scratch, covering strategic layout, procurement, system establishment, team building, menu innovation, cost control, food safety compliance and launch preparation, to build a premium F&B portfolio aligned with IHG global standards catering to the high-speed railway business district.
Boasting 20 years of senior F&B management experience across worldwide multi-format hospitality sectors, Mr. William Wang is a rare industry expert with comprehensive track records in international five-star urban hotels, luxury resorts and transoceanic cruise lines. He has served top luxury global brands including Marriott, IHG, St. Regis, Westin and Banyan Tree. Years of overseas cruise management experience equip him with forward-looking global operation vision, sophisticated cross-cultural management frameworks and professional customized service systems for international VIP guests.
He holds solid academic credentials and professional certifications: Bachelor of Human Resource Development and Management from Shenyang University, Master of Business Administration from Liaoning University. He is also certified as Senior International Seaman, Senior Chinese Cuisine Technician and Senior Classic Bartender (Non-Flair). His Chinese culinary craft was learned from renowned Cantonese master Cheng Yongjun, endowing him profound hands-on expertise in both Chinese and Western catering. Fluent in multiple languages, he is well-versed in dining customs and service etiquette of global guests, delivering top-tier professionalism for overseas receptions.
His career footprint covers major Chinese cities, Southeast Asia and European transoceanic routes. He started his journey at InterContinental Shenyang and polished integrated multi-outlet operation capabilities at multiple luxury international hotels before taking overseas leadership roles at Costa Cruises Asia-Pacific and Star Cruises. He supervised multicultural teams worldwide and mastered full-range cruise food safety control, cross-cultural service construction and tailor-made catering solutions for global travelers. Throughout his career, he has hosted high-level state foreign receptions and provided dedicated service to world dignitaries including Barack Obama, Ban Ki-moon and Bora Milutinović. He also oversees regular grand banquets for Hebei and Shijiazhuang municipal government officials and key corporate clients, developing a replicable full-process standard for elite VIP hospitality and receiving consistent praise and special acknowledgments from foreign dignitaries and enterprise leaders.
After returning to China, he became a core IHG specialist with official IHG Food Safety Administrator certification, specializing in full pre-opening F&B launch from ground zero. He has delivered end-to-end pre-opening construction for InterContinental Xishuangbanna and Holiday Inn Shijiazhuang High-tech Zone, establishing complete IHG standard systems covering organizational structure, global SOP manuals, food safety risk control, annual business budget, HOE centralized procurement, construction rectification, fusion menu R&D and cross-cultural service training for all staff. His outstanding management performance speaks for itself: online F&B ratings of his properties ranked top 10 across Asia-Pacific region, and InterContinental Xishuangbanna took No.1 local ranking in catering satisfaction. With dual academic backgrounds in human resources and business administration, Mr. Wang integrates culinary craftsmanship, international front-of-house operation, elite VIP reception, financial cost control and new hotel pre-opening project management. He flawlessly implements unified global standards of luxury hotel groups while accurately adapting to local consumption characteristics in Shijiazhuang, striking a perfect balance between international catering concepts, indigenous culinary innovation, pre-opening investment, opening quality and sustainable long-term revenue.
In this pre-opening role, Mr. William Wang will leverage his dual expertise in international hotel and transoceanic cruise management, alongside rich experience serving global dignitaries and government VIPs, to build comprehensive international operation frameworks for Chinese restaurant, all-day dining, grand banquet hall and lobby lounge. He will introduce proven mature systems refined from cruise operations, including cross-cultural guest service, global food safety governance, refined international member marketing and exclusive banquet solutions for political and business VIPs. Collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, HR and finance departments to hit all pre-opening milestones, he will develop an integrated F&B system compliant with IHG global benchmarks, tailored for domestic and international business travelers and enriched with local culinary highlights. This will strengthen the hotel’s core international F&B competitiveness, guarantee a premium grand opening and drive steady long-term revenue growth for the F&B division.
